The international scientific journal "The World of Greater Altai" provides an overview of the scientific activities of a large territory uniting Kazakhstan, Russia, Mongolia and China. This scientific publication is a platform of dialogue that provides opportunities for close collaboration of scientists from this region working in different research areas. One of the important tasks that the international editorial board sets itself is to create opportunities for the development of interdisciplinary research. Among the intended topics of publications are history, demography, sociology, archeology, geography, philology, cultural studies, economics, law and others.
During the years of publication, were published 23 issues, on which authors from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, China and Japan worked. The editorial board has prepared several thematic issues on archeology, cultural studies, demography, and the history of Kazakhstan of specific periods.
The publication is included in the Russian Science Citation Index. Full-text versions of articles are posted on the Internet on the journal page in the scientific electronic library and available at the address: http://elibrary.ru/ title_about.asp? Id = 54819. The average RSCI index of the journal authors is 5.0; the two-year impact factor of the RSCI, including citations from all sources, is 0.025. The number of citations of the journal for 2019 was 82; the statistics of views in the RSCI system for 2017 was 1299, for 2018 - 1328 views.
On the cyberleninka.ru website, which is an authoritative resource that measures the popularity of scientific publications, statistics shows a large number of views of the World of Greater Altai magazine: in 1.5 years it reached 41,556, the number of articles downloads is 3763? Hirsch index of the journal equals 2. On the own site of the magazine "World of Greater Altai", the view counter records about two thousand downloads of publications during this period.
The journal is hosted by the international scientometric database CrossRef, an association of scientific publishing houses that develops a common infrastructure to support more effective scientific communication. The CrossRef citation system covers over 68 million journal articles and other content items from thousands of academic and professional publications around the world (https://search.crossref.org/? Q = 2410-2725 & type = Journal + Article). "World of Greater Altai" is the first Kazakh magazine that use a digital object identifier (DOI). The assignment of DOI increases the scientific reputation of the publications authors and the journal as a whole, as it allows you to place materials in the world's leading scientific bibliographic catalogs.

The Editorial Board of International Scientific Journal «Ulken Altay Alemi – Mir Bolshogo Altaya» (World of Great Altai) invite original, previously unpublished author’s papers for publication. All submitted materials are subject to mandatory peer review. The decision for publication is taken on the results of the review.
Journal languages: Kazakh, Russian, English.
The size of the article should be 20000-40000 characters (with spaces), font size 11 Arial, 1 spacing.
The structure of the article assumes a UDC, article title, information about author(s), abstract (no less than 150 and no more than 200 words), keywords (7-10 words), main text (made in an essay format), bibliography+references. Article title, information about author(s), and abstract are given in three languages (Kazakh, Russian, English). Non-residents of the Republic of Kazakhstan get support to translate it into the Kazakh language.
References in the text are made according to the Harvard system.
International Scientific Journal «Үlken Altai Alemi - Mir Bolshogo Altaia» (World of Great Altai) is going to integrate into RISC database (Russian Science Citation Index), and in the future, into other international sys-tems of scientific citation. Due to this fact, the bibliography is required in accordance to
1) GOST R.05-2008 «Bibliographic references»;
2) the requirements of the Harvard style. Number of bibliographic sources - 30-50.
Along with the article, the editorial Board is sent a certificate received in the "Antiplagit" system, in which the overall index of the original text of the article and citation should be at least 75%, of which the original text of the article is 70%.
